First day of school

Today I watched my lil brother and sister prepare for their first day of school. Bought school supplies. Check. Cut Hair.  Check.  Laid out clothes on the floor in the order you will wear them. Check. All of the memories of my first days of school came flooding back.  I used to get sooo nervous.  My lil sister is starting to go to the high school as a sophomore this year.

When I went to tour the high school after I got my sophomore schedule, Brit and I seriously about died.  We both vividly remember the day we thought that "HUGE" school was going to eat us alive.  HA.

It's been great to watch Car go through those same things and tell her..."it's not that big of a deal." But of course she doesn't listen.  I think she's tried on her outfit 3 times and run through the way she's going to do her hair at least 50 times.  I just sit back and laugh.  Thankful that my high schools days are behind me and I will never have to go through the nervous first day of school ever again.

School for me starts in a week.  Also only TWO DAYS until I move out!! Can't wait.

My mouth is healing up nicely. Thank goodness.

Under the Knife....

Tomorrow my wisdom teeth are coming out.

I've always been deathly terrified of this procedure.

I don't exactly know what it entails.  I'm just excited to get it over with.

They must know that they are coming out because they are hurting me tonight.  I think it's just all in my head.

In other news... ONE MORE WEEK!! I seriously can't wait to move out and back up to Logan!! Brit and I took a mini road trip there yesterday because well I had to pee in a cup.  For a drug test.  We hung out with Regi and went and visited Larissa at work.  Man I just seriously can't wait to be room mates with them again!! I started packing up my room today and now I'm antsy.  Oi.

Pray for me.

I Am

Over the last year I've been trying to grow closer to the Savior and to truly believe that He Lives and the He loves and knows me.

All my life I've been taught that the Savior lives and that He knows each of his children personally.  I just kinda took that for what it was and didn't question it.  I remember being at a Young  Women activity when I was probably 17 years old.  The activity was centered around Easter.  We had been talking about Jesus Christ and how He rose from the tomb on the third day and how He Lives.  It was all the same stuff I'd heard many times before.  But this time, something was different.  During the closing prayer the words, "Dear Heavenly Father," and "in the name of Jesus Christ" took on new meaning to me.  They do LIVE.  When we pray we aren't just talking to the air but we are talking to our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ.  It's like everything I knew was finally making sense.

Ever since this experience, I've wondered where my relationship with the Savior stands.  I know He Lives and that He loves me and is always there for me, but what does that mean to me and in my life?

A few months ago a sweet lady who teaches Relief Society in my home ward who is a great example to me, shared this song and video during her lesson.

It touched me so much realizing everything the Savior does for me.  As we grow up, our relationship with Him  changes and He becomes more to us.

I hope this video strengthens other's testimonies as much as it strengthened mine.

Whether at this point in your life the Savior is your
"elbow Healer, Superhero, Heartache Healer, Secret Keeper, Shepherd, Pasture Maker, Creature, Maker, Life Sustainer, Comforter, Healer, or Redeemer"
He is always "Lord and King, Beginning and the End", and he is always there.

My Daddy

The 12th was my favorite daddy's birthday!! I love him so much and I'm so thankful for everything he does for our family.  I hope that my husband has the same loving qualities my dad has. :)

Love you DAD!!

And the winner is....

Yesterday was a bitter sweet farewell...

SYTYCD (So You Think You Can Dance)   ended it's season.

Just for the record I called the favorites from the beginning.  Just sayin. Proof!

Of course I LOVED Kent and would've love to see him win. (except honestly I think I would've cried.  Seeing him cry and due to my current emotional state...I just think it would've pulled at my heart strings and caused some embarrassing water works)

But I also really liked Lauren and was so happy to see her win. She deserved it!!!

I think there were so many great/inspirational dances on the show this season.  I really enjoyed watching it!!

Anyway now it's over and I have to wait a whole year for the next season....

Nothing new

Just working. And sleeping.  I miss having a reason to get up and get ready and do my hair.  I'm seriously getting antsy to move back up to Logan and have a life again! Can't wait.

I have a job interview in Logan on Wednesday for the rec center's after school program that I volunteered with last year for my class.  I'm pretty excited and hope that the interview goes well.

I also saw Charlie St. Cloud the other day and it is now official....I am in LOVE with Zac Efron!  Seriously.  The man just makes me crazy.  I don't know if I would actually like the real man because let's be real he's probably a d-bag, but I love seriously every character he plays.

High School Musical:
I've always been a die hard fan of these overly cheesy movies.  They followed me through all my big events in life.  When the first one came out I was a freshman in high school.  We graduated together. So really they are like my fellow classmates. Haha just kidding..  but really I connected with him from day one.

Hairspray:
I love him in this.  He cracks me up.

17 Again:
I watched this a few days ago and seriously he (Mr. Efron)  is FUNNY! oh and attractive.

Charlie St. Cloud:
Whew one word....perfection.  Zac just is beautiful.

that's all.
No but really the movie and the book (Charlie St. Cloud) are both great. (And not just because I'm in love with the main character...:) )
