Random fact #2

**Just so you know.  I think of these random things that have happened to me in my life that I want to remember.  Then I blog about them and schedule the post to come out at some random time.  Here is #2. To see #1 click here.  Who knows when #3 will debut :) **

I attended the 22 inning San Diego Padres game.  If you don't know a typical baseball game is 9 innings.  We sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" for the 7th inning stretch, the 14th inning stretch, and the 21st inning stretch.

The game was 6 hours and 16 minutes long.

The game was score less until the 14th inning.

There were 15 different pitchers. And 659 pitches.

It was the longest game since 1993.  It was the longest game in both Rockies history and the history of Petco Park(home of the Padres).

And I saw the whole thing.  And it was AWESOME!!
The scoreboard says inning 23 because that would have been the next inning.  The final score was 2-1 and the Rockies won.

Marriage.

First of all I am the most unqualified person to be blogging about marriage.  I couldn't even spell it correctly. Oi. but besides that----a marriage happened in my life last week that can not go unmentioned.

awkWARD and aweSOME

Awkward:

  • My encounters with my roommate. That's all I'm going to say.
  • Going to the pool and having kids ask why you can't pee in the water.
  • A certain boy. Nuff said.
  • The customer service at Little Ceasars.  I went to pick up a donation today and seriously all three workers I talked to were sooo awkWARD.
  • My hair do's lately.  I need to give the locks a little more attention.
  • The new chat thing on Facebook. It's not exactly awkward but it's annoying.  That's for sure.
Awesome:
  • Going to Twizzleberry. Two nights in a row.
  • Seeing a girl riding her bike with no hands.  I know a lot of people can do that.  But meanwhile she was riding with no hands, she took off her shirt.  Luckily she had a tank top on underneath otherwise this incident would probably be in the awkward category.
  • The conversations I've been having with the kids lately about my marital status
Kid: Miss Amy are you a women?
         Me:  Uh yes....
         Kid: Are you married?
         Me: Nope.
Kid: Then you're not a women.  You become a women when you get married.
Kid: Miss Amy are you married.
              Me: Nope.
Kid: Do you dream of a family.
Me: Uh yes. Someday I hope to have a family.
Kid: Do you dream of a daughter and a son?
    • Friday Night Lights on Netflix.  Srsly. FNL is bomb.
    • I asked a 7 year old if she had a boyfriend.  She told me that she does but she can't tell him that he's her boyfriend because then he won't like her anymore. I'm going to try this technique.

    Here's the thing...

I was reading through my past blog posts the other day because I'm my #1 fan and I came across this post about the should-a, would-a, could-a's in my life at that time.  Last summer I felt like I should stay in Logan and work.  However, I'd never done something like that on my own and I was afraid.  So I quit my job and moved home where I had no job.  It was a mistake.
Then this summer rolled along.  I once again had to decide if I wanted to step out of my circle of comfort or cowardly move back home.  I did it.  I took the risk and stayed here for the summer.

So far, I've experienced a range of emotions.  I've gone from extreme loneliness to extreme comfort.  Each day has held a personal decision that I have to make as to whether or not I want to make that day a good one.  I've stepped further out of my comfort zone this summer than I ever had in my whole life....combined.  However I still don't feel like I'm stepping out far enough.  I feel like there is so much more for me to discover that I just need to reach out and grab.  The summer's not over yet. (However it almost is. Crazy.) I still have time to finish what I wanted to get done.  I still have time to dig deep within myself and learn all I can about who I am and what I'm doing here in my life.  Isn't that what this life is all about.  Isn't it soooo fun.  :)

    50 Nifty...

Remember how I mentioned my travel bug? well I've still got it.  I want to go on vacation.  However, the problem is...no money.  But I still google vacation deets practically all the time.  Lately I'm OBSESSED with Chicago.  I really want to go there.  I want to go to every state in the good ol' USA before I die.

I saw this on another blog I read.

    visited 14 states (28%)
Create your own visited map of The United States

There ya go I'm 28% done with this goal.  I wish that's how I was in the other goals in my life.

Remember also when I made of list of things I wanted to do this year??? There were 16 of them and I've accomplished three.
So if we divide by 16
    carry the one
    square each side
    and times by twelve
that comes out to be a whoppin 19%.
I just patted my self on the back.
Ah well I'll just keep working on it.

Also remember how I love Mr. Bean....not my 7th grade science teacher...but the TV show? Well watch this clip and then you will love him too.

If it doesn't make you smile at least a little bit.  You're way too grumpy.
    Just sayin
    Peace.

    Why?

I don't blog about my killer fashion sense
    I don't blog about being a newlywed.
I don't blog about having cute kids.
I don't blog about my latest crafty project.
I don't blog about an etsy shop.

    Because the fact is...
I have no fashion sense. I wear what I want if it's comfy.
    I'm not married.
    I don't have kids....cute or otherwise.
    I'm not very crafty.
I don't even really know what an etsy shop is.....
    In all honesty...
    I blog because I think I'm funny.
I blog because I like to write.
I blog because I love looking back on the memories of my life.
I blog because I'm trying to become good at photography.
I blog because I want to.

I honestly don't know why (or if) anyone reads my blog.  Sometimes that bothers me.  Sometimes I wish I ran a blog like this or this or  this. But then I think about it and it's just not me.  This blog is how I portray me. I love that people read it and I love that people comment.  Seriously.
Thanks for reading and letting me know that I'm not the only one who thinks I'm funny! :)

    Vacation.

I caught the travel bug.  The only medication that can cure it is a trip.  That's all there is to it!

This week, I had a mild treatment for my bug when I went to St. George with the family.  :)

We were gone for a total of 24 hours....but that's 24 hours I didn't have to worry about anything :)

We went to the Tuachan theatre and saw the Little Mermaid.  It. Was. Amazing.  I enjoyed every minute of it...even the minutes we were on rain delay!

    Don't mess

    Let Freedom Ring

I love the 4th of July.  I love the fact that I live in America and have all the freedoms that go along with living in this great country.  I love all the men and women who are fighting for that freedom everyday.  How blessed are we!?!?

To celebrate this year, I attended the Freedom Fire in Logan as well as Stadium of Fire in Provo.  Both were beautiful and made me proud to be an American.

Everything is better if these ladies show up to perform! :)

I really loved the fireworks at the freedom fire.  I loved how they put them to music.
Shealynn and I all ushered up :)

It was seriously so hot waiting for Stadium of fire.

On the actual day of July 4th, we had an awesome BBQ.  We also played board games and just hung out.  It was a lot of fun! :)

    Inspiration

    Listen to this song.
    It's nice right?
Now listen again during this dance.
    Pure beauty.  {Not just because they kiss}
Two beautiful dancers+amazing choreography+good song=the reason music and movement exist.

I seriously am in awe of the fact that human bodies can express so much through movement.  Not just with this dance, but with any piece of movement whether professionally choreographed or not.  It's truly inspirational.

~Just so you know....I'm displeased with who went home tonight on sytycd.
