Reflection

Looking back {looking back on Utah's early schools....if that popped into your head---you're legit}
Anyway.  Looking back on this year of my life, I'm a little bit shocked it's over.
It's been a wild ride folks.
I've learned things I'd never thought I'd learn.
I've felt things I couldn't see myself ever feeling.
I've heard things I never imagined I'd hear.

I've laughed...a lot.
I've cried.....a bit.
I've stressed....a lot.
I've partied....not enough.

As hard as some things have been, I wouldn't trade any of them for anything.

I wouldn't trade the late night talks that caused me to fall asleep during practicum.
I wouldn't trade the nasty sink full of stinky dishes that taught me to take deep breaths and keep the swearing to myself.
I wouldn't trade the pizza parties in the library.
I wouldn't trade the kinked neck from sleeping on the love seat.
I wouldn't trade the moldy bathroom that taught me how important cleanliness really is.
I wouldn't trade the hours spent watch and shoe shopping.
I wouldn't trade the meows.
I wouldn't trade the 19 credit hours that taught me to prioritize and focus and finish.
I wouldn't change the parking situation that forced me to get to know my neighbors at 6:00 in the morning.
I wouldn't trade hearing and smelling farts.
I wouldn't change that night that taught me how unconditional my love can be for a person.

I wouldn't trade any of this because it's what made me me this year.
It's what gave me the confidence to go out and do what I need to do to make my life what it needs to be.
It taught me that I can do hard things.
And I can do them well.

I've learned that people care about me.
I've learned that people are important.
I've learned that it's ok to accept help.
I've learned that life is good.
